Human Virgin Hair can indeed be a low maintenance hair extension option for the client who has an active lifestyle with extensive natural hair needs.  But Human Virgin Hair Extensions are NOT a NO maintenance option.  Much like any other productive it is imperative that the consumer does their due diligence to maintain their beauty investment to the best of their ability.  After all what would happen to your car if you never changed the oil?  Human Virgin Hair Extensions are a wonderful beauty investment but must be protected with at home care.  Here are some tips on how to best maintain the integrity and aesthetic superiority of your Human Virgin Hair Extensions.

DO shampoo your Human Virgin Hair Extensions with a moisture professional salon quality product once a week.  BLONC Virgin Hair recommends JOICO Moisture Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner.  This line not only restores the moisture but also replaces the proteins to achieve 100% healthy hair.

DO paddle brush your Human Virgin Hair Extensions while saturated with conditioner from ends to root.  Human Virgin Hair Extensions should not tangle and mat but regular brushing is required as with natural hair.

DO shampoo, condition and paddle brush after swimming.

DO allow your hair to dry before going to sleep or wrapping it.

DO twist and wrap your hair at night with a silk or satin wrap and/or bonnet.

DO use professional salon quality product oils.  BLONC Virgin Hair recommends JOICO K-PAK Protect & Shine Serum and JOICO K-Pak Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil.

DO keep up with professional maintenance with your hair, every six weeks minimum if possible.

DO have a licensed professional install our Human Virgin Hair Extensions.

DON’T use low quality brand and sulfate shampoos and conditioners.  In other words do not use basic unleaded gas in your Mercedes!

DON’T go days without brushing through your hair.

DON’T go excessive amounts of time without shampooing your hair.

DON’T use excessive heat on your hair.  More than 450F is unnecessary and will damage the hair.

DON’T use cotton based products to wrap, hold or cover the hair during workouts, to sleep, for accessory NEVER EVER!

DON’T put your hair in the washing machine or drier.  The appropriate way to cleanse your hair is by shampooing and conditioning.

DON’T use grease on the hair.

DON’T sleep on wet hair.

DON’T go more than 12 weeks per installation without a take-down.

These Dos and Don’ts are not all inclusive of every possible hair maintenance situation but they are a great template to reflect reasonable use and responsibility for at-home care.
