How to Properly Cut and Seal Hand-Tied Wefts
Unlike machine wefts, hand-tied wefts should not be cut without reinforcement.
Because they are tied using thread, cutting them can cause unraveling. If cutting is necessary:
- Loop sewing thread repeatedly around the cut edge
- Tie off tightly
- Use weft sealant to secure the seam
Proper sealing ensures longevity and prevents shedding.
Understanding this installation detail protects the integrity of the hair and weft.
