Single Drawn vs Double Drawn Hand-Tied Wefts

Single Drawn vs Double Drawn Hand-Tied Wefts

When building an extension line, stylists should understand the difference between single drawn and double drawn hair.

Single Drawn (RSD)

Hair contains natural variation in strand length. The ends taper naturally, creating a soft, realistic finish.

Double Drawn (RDD)

Hair is sorted so most strands are the same length. This creates thicker ends and a fuller appearance.

Both options serve different client needs.

Single drawn is more natural looking, while double drawn provides maximum density.

Stylists can offer both options depending on client preference.

Using a 100g Double Drawn and a 100g single drawn bundle for a full install of Handtied weft single row extensions or a clip in set is the perfect density combo for most hair types.
